Based in Inverness, they are an excellent way to transport to/from John o'Groats, with purpose modified vehicles that will transport all your kit/bikes. We fly Easyjet from Luton to Inverness, this company then takes us and all our kit to John o'Groats and builds our bikes back up all ready to start the next day. I initially wanted to book just B&B's and places in towns so we could maximise the experience of the places we cycled through. The reality is you cant always do that and on a ten day trip where I know from experience that the holy grail quickly becomes a comfy bed and a hot bath, then you cant beat Premier Inn for convenience, comfort and cost. They also almost always have a food outlet attached to them which serves carbohydrate rich food about 10 steps away. Click the licon for their website

I searched quite a bit for a decent GPS tracker to embedd in to this website, first of all using a balckberry for tracking but ended up with InstaMapper, which was by far the best in many respects. Only issue I thought was it used battery life on the iphone as I was using 'Cyclemeter' at the same time but it has been fine in tests and even on a 10 hour day I have 2 back up batteries and thats ok. 9/10. I find Cyclemeter the best GPS recorder of your routes, times, gradient, weather etc etc. I find STRAVA a bit competitve but still use it, this app feeds STRAVA automatically if you switch on the functionality so you only have to have this running. It allows speech synthesis of any FB comments or emails that come in whilst you are riding along with interval updates on your progress, all of this over any music you are playing.
